About the Orienteering Association of South Australia (OASA)

OASA (Orienteering Association of South Australia Inc.) is the peak body managing orienteering in South Australia.  OASA is affiliated with Orienteering Australia (OA) the national body for orienteering in Australia.  OASA's objectives reflect those of OA - to encourage, promote and coordinate the sport of orienteering in South Ausralia.

 Governance

OASA is governed by a Council comprising representatives of each of the affiliated clubs and an elected Management Committee.  For a list of the Management Committee refer to the menu OASA Management.

The Council currently usually meets on the third Tuesday of each even numbered month and Management on the third Tuesday of the intervening months.

 Constitution

OASA became incorporated on 21st March 1974 and its original constitution adopted in May 1988. This remained unaltered until March 2008 when it was amended to take into account the needs of electronic banking. In June 2008 it was again amended to include the powers of OASA

Strategic and Operational Plan

Each year OASA reviews its strategic and operational plan which covers a three year horizon. If you believe there are areas you would like included or amended in future current plans please feel free to contact your club delegate or any member of the management committee.
