SPORT VOUCHERS  If you have a child as part of a membership (you can apply for up to 2 children) in Reception to Year 9  in 2025 (ie Year of Birth 2010- 2020) you may be eligible for a Sports Voucher from the SA Government This gives you a big saving in membership fees, as Orienteeting SA is a registered provider.  This is a State Government initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport & Racing.

From 1 January 2025 the number of Sports Vouchers available will double
Two $100 vouchers will be available per child, per calendar year. These can be used to cover sport, recreational activities and music tuition.

With 2 vouchers available in 2025, one may be used to subsidise OSA memberships. Parents can claim for other activiites in other sports with a second voucher (see the link to the Sports Voucher website above for more information).

The existing rules will remain where if a voucher is used for less than $100, the remaining balance will be forfeited (hence if a voucher is used to subsidise membership - $40 for one voucher, then the $60 balance is forfeited) however the child will still have access to the other $100 voucher for the year.

The amount discounted using one voucher for orienteering is equal to the cost of Junior Membership.
