Orienteering is a fun sport where the goal is to find checkpoints on a map. Learn to Orienteer is our new 4-week program designed to teach the basic skills of orienteering to beginners and those with limited experience.
- Learn to follow a course on the map
- Navigate with or without a compass
- Practise each skill in a friendly group environment
The 2-hour sessions are held once a week in a safe urban environment. Participants learn from experienced leaders at their own pace, with group size limited to 20 people to keep it personal.
Each participant will receive a Participant’s Handbook – a handy resource for now and in future.
As a special introductory bonus, Orienteering SA is offering newcomers 5 free entries to our popular Twilight Orienteering Series. These fun and casual events are held at different urban locations on Friday evenings from 14th November to 12th December (value up to $75).
